Sharks pour it with 4 goals in 3rd, steamroll Ducks 60

Tomas Hertl had a goal and an assist in his comeback from a coronaviru­srelated absence and fellow forward Timo Meier also produced a goal an an assist in his return from a lowerbody injury as the Sharks beat the Ducks 60 in Anaheim on Friday night.

Hertl, who had not played since Feb. 22, got the scoring started for San Jose in the first period with his seventh goal.

After the Sharks extended their lead to 20 in the second on Evander Kane's 10th goal, Meier — playing his first game since March 5 — scored as part of San Jose's fourgoal third period.

Devyn Dubnak stopped 34 shots for the shutout

Golden Knights 5, Blues 4:

Reilly Smith’s overtime goal lifted Vegas past host St. Louis as the Golden Knights snapped a twogame losing streak. Smith’s powerplay goal with 2:22 left in the extra period came off a offtimer from Jonathan Marchessau­lt’s pass.

Mark Stone, Tomas Nosek, Alec Martinez and Marchessau­lt also scored for Vegas. MarcAndre Fleury, playing after being removed from COVID19 protocol due to a false positive, made

19 saves.

Wild 4, Coyotes 0: Rookie Kirill Kaprizov recorded his first NHL hat trick and Cam Talbot made 25 saves for his first shutout of the season as Minnesota beat visiting Arizona. Kaprizov has four goals in the past two games and 10 overall. The 23yearold leads NHL rookies in scoring.

Minnesota is 1021 since Feb. 18, leading the NHL in wins, points and goals in that span.

Avalanche 2, Kings 0: Mikko Rantanen had a goal and an assist, Philipp Grubauer stopped 18 shots for his fourth shutout of the season and host Colorado blanked Los Angeles. Nathan MacKinnon also scored for the Avalanche, who held to recent form by continuing to pile up shots without getting many goals.

Oilers 6, Senators 2: Connor McDavid had a goal and two assists and host Edmonton beat Ottawa to sweep the threegame series and improve to 70 against the Senators this season.
