Twins the new Trend YouTube Channel:

Twin brothers Tim and Fred Williams have been posting their “First Time Hearing” music reaction videos since 2019, but something about their response to Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” lit the internet on fire last summer. In it, the Gary, Ind., brothers sit in their bedroom, listening intently — and when that famous drum solo hits? Their reaction is pure, gleeful chaos.

“I have never seen anybody drop a beat three minutes into the song — that’s unique!” Fred says with glee. The 21yearolds, who say they were raised on gospel and Christian rap music, also give the “first time” treatment to the likes of Whitney Houston, Blake Shelton and Dolly Parton. What makes them such a delight is the sheer delight they seem to take in every song — a reminder that great music defies genres, trends and time.

Amanda Gorman’s “The Hill We Climb”: The country’s first national youth poet laureate, Amanda Gorman, electrified the nation when she performed her poem “The Hill We Climb” at President Biden’s Jan. 20 inauguration. The 23yearold activist wrote the poem in the weeks following the presidential election, including several passages on the night of the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol. As the youngest poet to perform at an inauguration, Gorman drew immediate praise for her words and poised delivery. Dressed in a brightyellow coat, she beamed like a literal and figurative ray of light across the world.
