Timberwolv­es beat Jazz for third time

D’Angelo Russell had a seasonhigh seven 3pointers and scored 27 points to help the Timberwolv­es rally for a 105104 home win over Utah on Monday night. KarlAnthon­y Towns added 21 points and 11 rebounds.

“We got the job done,” Towns said. “Our physicalit­y was there. The discipline was there. Execution was there.”

Minnesota, which started the day tied for the secondfewe­st wins in the NBA, handed the leaguelead­ing Jazz another loss. The Timberwolv­es (1844) went 30 against Utah (4417) this season.

Bulls 110, Heat 102: Nikola Vucevic scored 24 points and Chicago moved closer to the last play-in spot in the Eastern Conference with a win in Miami.

Pistons 100, Hawks 86: Jerami Grant and Frank Jackson scored 18 points apiece to lift host Detroit over Atlanta. The Hawks shot 39% from the field.

Suns 118, Knicks 110: Phoenix capped a grueling road trip with a victory that snapped New York’s winning streak at nine games.

Raptors 112, Cavaliers 96: Toronto pulled away in the second half for a win over depleted Cleveland in Tampa, Fla.

Wall injury: Houston guard John Wall is likely to miss the rest of the season with a strained right hamstring. Wall was injured Friday in a game against the Clippers. His injury is yet another blow in a difficult season for the Rockets, who sit at an NBA-worst 15-46.
