Hitrun kills man who fell off unicycle
A man who fell from his electric unicycle on a San Jose roadway was struck by a vehicle and died Tuesday, San Jose police said.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, fell while riding the singlewheeled, batterypowered device eastbound in the 1500 block of Kooser Road in the middle of a traffic lane at about 9:55 p.m., and was immediately hit by a vehicle that left the scene after the incident. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the 17th person to die in a San Jose traffic collision in 2021.
