Where to celebrate Pride this weekend
Happy Pride 2021! While celebrations of the LGBTQ community are well under way, and the city’s famous Pride Parade is not happening this year, the last weekend of June (FridaySunday, June 2527) brings with it all kinds of parties and events in honor of the official celebration of Pride — if you can get tickets.
After more than a year of isolation, the Bay Area is ready to make the most out of this Pride Weekend. Here is a roundup of some of the local parties that are not (yet) sold out:
Body & Soul with David Harness:
Pride Weekend 2021: The Midway, Mighty Real and GoBang! present an evening with live entertainment from Francois K, Joaquin Claussell, Danny Krivit and DJ David Harness.

Inside/OUT! PRIDE 2021: Queer Pub Crawl: Visit some of the East Bay city’s queer and allyowned bars starting with Kingston 11, including stops at Port Bar, Sobre Mesa and Oeste; featuring live DJ sets and Pride drink specials on the menu.

Pride Weekend at El Rio: El Rio is set to host a “T4T” trans Pride event on Friday night, highlighting Bay Area trans and non[]binary DJs and performance artists. “Mango: Pride Night” follows on Saturday, and the bar wraps up its Pride weekend programming with “Envy: A Pride/Queer Liberation Party” on Sunday, featuring hosts Nicki Jizz and Vivvy.

On Saturday, “Fake and Gay: Pride” features performances from Honey Balenciaga and others; Sunday finishes up the celebration
with “Ascend: Out of the Darkness,” featuring Isaac Escalante and Evan J. Sun.

Electroluxx Pride
2021: The annual event plans to fill its outdoor stage with DJ sets and performances, as well as more music and dancing indoors. Food and drinks will be available from Curio.

Pride Weekend at Monarch: Friday night will feature “Supernature: Pride Edition,” with DJ sets and performances on two levels. Saturday will be the main event with “Pride Saturday,” featuring Go Bang! DJs Steve Fabius, Sergio Fedasz, Prince Wolf, Jimmy Depre, Jeremy Rosebrook, plus special guests Blackstone and Avery. Rounding out the weekend on Sunday is “Werd: Pride 2021,” a techno and dub celebration with DJ Trevor Sigler and friends.
