Tax all the bounties

Regarding “How to fight anti-abortion laws” (Sept. 10): This was an interesting article on combating Texas’ anti-abortion law.

My suggestion is for the federal government to tax all anti-abortion bounties at 100%. It is a federal tax not relying on doing anything with or to Texas.

This surely would reduce any financial incentive to report abortion providers. This approach is nothing new; federal tax laws have been used by both parties in support of their policy goals for years (for example, deduction of mortgage interest to incentivize home ownership).
