Bring back in-person learning
As an ex-principal of many years, I am regularly astounded by the many articles in papers and magazines regarding parents’ frustration over distance learning taking place in their schools.
I propose these media sources check out what some school districts, like St. Helena in Napa Valley, have been able to do quite a bit of last year and this year as well. It was remaining open! Many other districts seem to make this work, why not San Francisco or others requiring Zoom or other useless attempts to teach children? I can’t imagine what parents are doing who work full time, or single parents trying to do their work from home as well as corral their kids. And what about teachers attempting to deliver very difficult online nonsense? Let’s find out how others make it work in school classrooms.
