The Bears, who were stagnant on offense in the final three quarters of their 22-17 loss to Nevada on Sept. 4, would like to replicate the big-play success they enjoyed last Saturday. Quarterback Chase Garbers had four completions of more than 40 yards: a 49-yarder to Kekoa Crawford, a 54-yarder to Trevon Clark for a score, a 68yarder to Clark and a 42-yarder to Jeremiah Hunter.

Garbers also showed against TCU that he can be effective with his legs. He ran seven times for 43 yards. For his career, Garbers has 756 rushing yards and seven rushing TDs. The school career records for a QB are 931 rushing yards by Joe Kapp and nine rushing TDs by Dave Penhall and Brian Bedford.

Defensive end Josiah Erickson leads the Hornets with 12 tackles and two sacks.
