Story line: After opening the season with two losses by a combined margin of seven points, the Bears look for their first win of 2021 by hosting the Hornets of the Big Sky Conference. Sacramento State head coach Troy Taylor was Cal’s starting quarterback for four seasons (1986-89). He ranks second in school history in career passing yards (8,126) and is tied for fourth in career touchdown passes (51). Taylor also spent time as an assistant coach at Cal in the late 1990s.
