Kriisa, Terry lead Arizona past UCLA

Kerr Kriisa scored 16 points and hit a big 3-pointer, Dalen Terry flirted with a tripledoub­le and No. 7 Arizona grinded out a 76-66 win over No. 3 UCLA on Thursday night in Tucson.

Shut down by UCLA nine days earlier, the Wildcats (18-2, 8-1 Pac-12) had a good offensive flow in the first half, building a 12-point lead.

The Bruins (16-3, 8-2) turned up the defensive pressure and slowed the game in the second half to chip the lead down to three. Kriisa soon answered with a 3 to make it 70-61 and

Arizona made six straight free throws in the final 1:25 to win the rematch.

Jules Barnard scored 15 points for UCLA and Johnny Juzang had 12.

Women #1 South Carolina 83, Alabama 51:

Aliyah Boston had 20 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks to lead host South Carolina over Alabama.

Zia Cooke made her first five shots and finished with 14 points for the Gamecocks (21-1, 9-1 SEC). Coupled with Florida’s victory over Tennessee, South Carolina took sole possession

of the SEC lead.

Brittany Davis led Alabama (11-10, 2-8) with 20 points.

#3 North Carolina State 68, Florida State 48:

Jakia Brown-Turner scored 13 points and the host Wolfpack (20-3, 11-1 ACC) bounced back from a loss this week to beat the Seminoles (10-10, 4-6).

#4 Louisville 93, Clemson 71:

Hailey Van Lith scored 16 of her career-high 34 points in the decisive third quarter as the visiting Cardinals (20-2, 10-1 ACC) won its 10th straight over the Tigers (7-15, 1-10).

#5 Indiana 80, Minnesota 70:

Aleksa Gulbe hit four 3-pointers and scored 28 points and the Hoosiers (15-3, 7-1 Big Ten) closed the game on a 14-point run in a comeback home victory over the Gophers (10-13, 3-8).

Florida 84, #7 Tennessee 59:

Kiki Smith scored 25 points,

Nina Rickards added 16 and the host Gators (16-6, 6-3 SEC) stunned the Volunteers (19-3, 8-2) for their fifth victory in 59 meetings between the teams.

#14 Georgia 71, Vanderbilt 56:

Jenna Staiti scored 16 points, Que Morrison added 15 and the Bulldogs (17-4, 6-3 SEC) beat the visiting Commodores (12-11, 3-6).

Portland 75, #16 BYU 64:

Alex Fowler totaled 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, Rose Pflug scored six of her 13 points in the final 3:23 and the host Pilots (14-4, 4-2 WCC) knocked off the Cougars (18-2, 8-1).

#17 Maryland 67, Michigan State 62:

Angel Reese had 25 points and nine rebounds, Diamond Miller added 14 points and nine rebounds and the visiting Terrapins (16-6, 8-3 Big Ten) beat the Spartans

(12-9, 6-4) for their fourth straight victory.

#20 Notre Dame 68, Virginia Tech 55: Olivia Miles scored 24 points and the host Irish (18-4, 9-2 ACC) pulled away in the second quarter and cruised to a victory over the Hokies (15-6, 7-3) for their fifth straight win.

#21 Iowa 84, Wisconsin 50:

Caitlin Clark had her fifth triple-double of the season with 27 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds as the Hawkeyes (15-5, 9-2 Big Ten) dealt the host Badgers (5-16, 2-9) their third straight loss.

#22 Florida Gulf Coast 71, Central Arkansas 44: Tishara Morehouse scored 19 points, Kendall Spray added 12 and Eagles (20-1, 9-0 Atlantic Sun Conference) coach Karl Smesko earned his 600th career win by beating the Bears (8-12, 3-6) on the road.
