Support for recall flawed
I received an email from San Francisco Supervisor Catherine Stefani detailing her reasons for supporting the recall of District Attorney Chesa Boudin. Based on Stefani’s one-dimensional reasoning, we should either recall or fire virtually all elected city officials and their appointees.
Mayor London Breed, did you clean up the Tenderloin, complete the central subway, renovate Van Ness on time and on budget, have a well-functioning planning and permitting process, have a police chief who has a motivated and top flight department? Have you quelled corruption that has been running rampant in your departments? Shouldn’t you be recalled?
Supervisors, sadly, I can’t name any wonderful positive thing any of you have done. Sad.
Supervisor Stefani, your data and reasoning for recalling Boudin is really extremely weak. As your constituent who voted for you, I expected better.
