A two-vehicle collision left three people seriously injured and 14 residents displaced on Thursday evening, San Francisco police said.

Officers arrived on the scene at San Bruno Avenue and Mansell Street near Highway 101 around 4:25 p.m. after reports of the crash. Two vehicles — a Prius and a Tesla — collided into each other, officials said. One of the vehicles crashed into a home at 3217 San Bruno and caused structural damages, according to police.

Two people were rescued from the Tesla, and one was rescued from the Prius — all had to be pried from the vehicles with hydraulic rescuing tools, San Francisco Fire Department officials said. All three were taken to S.F. General with serious injuries.

Fourteen inhabitants of the three-story multi-residential dwelling were displaced and were getting care from the American Red Cross.

The Tesla struck gas and water lines outside the home, both of which have been secured, fire officials said.

San Francisco police officials are investigating the incident. The San Francisco Department of Building Inspection is assessing the structures.
