SAN JOSE STATE ON SATURDAY

-

Who: San Jose State (6-2, 4-1 MWC) at San Diego State (5-4, 3-2)

When: 7:30 p.m.

Story line: The Spartans and Aztecs meet in a game that likely will eliminate the loser from contention for the MWC’s West Division title. “It’s awesome to be playing games in November that matter. That is big for us,” SJSU head coach Brent Brennan said. “That has not always been the case, so we’re excited about that.” Entering Friday, San Jose State was tied with Fresno State atop the West standings, but the Bulldogs hold the tiebreaker because they beat the Spartans. Fresno State also beat the Aztecs. Last season, San Diego State pulled out a 19-13 win in double overtime in San Jose.
