Marie Armstrong

December 5, 1923 - November 3, 2022

Marie Armstrong died in peace at the age of 98 on November 3. Born in Redlands, Ca to Marcos and Maria Alvarado, she graduated from UC Berkeley where she met and fell in love with her late husband Richard Armstrong. Long time resident of San Mateo (Burlingame and Hillsborough) and Contra Costa (Orinda, Rossmoor and Pleasant Hill) Counties, she was Mom to her children Richard, Mary, Peter and Paul Armstrong and Nana to her 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Marie traveled and lived all over the world accompanying her husband on his various work assignments for Bechtel. Wherever she lived she was an active volunteer with her church, the Red Cross and other charitable groups as well as her children’s schools. Marie loved books and bridge and was an active member of many groups devoted to both.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am on Monday November 14 at the Church of Santa Maria, Orinda, Ca.
