Consuelo Browning Brink (Connie), 87, passed away in Jacksonvil­le, FL on November 13th surrounded by family and loved ones.

Connie was born December 1st, 1934 to Virginia and John Browning in Winnetka, IL. After graduating from New Trier High School in 1952, she went on to study History at Smith College and would eventually graduate from the University of Michigan in 1956. While at Smith, she met her first husband Skip Grinton, and they had their son Stephen in 1955.

Connie and Steve moved to San Francisco in 1959 where she met the love of her life Robert Ray Brink (Bob). They wed in 1961 in Joliet, IL. They went on to have two children, Charlie and Susan, and Bob would become President of the Folger Adam Company.

In 1976, they founded RR Brink Locking Systems. Connie went to work selling real estate for Bell Realty where she rapidly became one of the top producers to support the family in the early days of growing the business. It thrives today with their son Charlie at the helm.

Among her many civic contributi­ons, Connie was most proud of working with community leaders to save the trees at Inwood Park in 1983. She was a founding Trustee of the Joliet Montessori School and was also an active member of Holly Club. She and Bob were lifelong supporters of the Mayo Clinic as well as the Hoover Institutio­n. She was an avid bridge and domino player and always loved hosting parties.

Connie is predecease­d by her husband Bob. She is survived by her three children, Stephen Grinton, Charles (Catherine) Brink, and Susan (Henson) Orser; twelve grandchild­ren, Elizabeth, John, Mary Catherine, Grace, Caroline, Madeleine, Henson Robert, Wesley, Amy, Ashley, Chloe, and Pippa; and six greatgrand­children, Michael, James, Ellora, Ari, Beau, and Annie.

The family will be hosting a Celebratio­n of Life in the new year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mayo Clinic in her memory.
