New Jersey’s Nico Hischier had three assists and the host Devils beat the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 on Monday night to match a franchise record with their 13th consecutive win.

Jesper Bratt, Dawson Mercer, Damon Severson, Tomas Tatar and Yegor Sharangovich scored for the Devils, who haven’t lost since Oct. 24 against Washington. Vitek Vanecek made 27 saves for New Jersey.

Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored for the Oilers, beaten twice by New Jersey during its run. Stuart Skinner made 23 saves, but saw the puck taken off his stick by Hischier early in the second period to set up the goahead goal by Mercer into a wide-open net.

Severson stretched the margin to 3-1 on a counterattack minutes later.

Edmonton made a push early in the third. NugentHopkins cut it to 3-2 at 4:52 and had a close-in chance to tie it, only to be stopped by Vanecek, who improved to 9-1.

Tatar gave the Devils breathing room about a minute later, gloving down the rebound of Mercer’s shot and beating Skinner. Sharangovich added an insurance goal with 5:15 to go.

Jack Hughes had two assists for the Devils.

Bruins 5, Lightning 3: Patrice Bergeron got his 1,000th career point with a second-period assist as visiting Boston won its seventh straight.

Bergeron became the fourth Bruins player and 94th in NHL history to reach the milestone with the second assist on Brad Marchand’s goal at 15:08 that gave the Bruins a 4-1 lead.

Marchand immediately pointed at Bergeron after scoring his goal and the Boston bench emptied to celebrate with the 37-yearold center along the boards.

“That was probably the most special thing about it,” Bergeron said. “All the guys kind of jump on and share that with them. It’s great. That’s something I will remember for a long time.”

The other Boston players to reach 1,000 points are Ray Bourque (1,506), Johnny Bucyk (1,339) and Phil Esposito (1,012), who was at the game as a Lightning radio broadcaster.

David Krejci, Nick Foligno, Charlie Coyle and David Pastrnak also scored for the Bruins, who improved to 17-2. Linus Ullmark made 32 saves.

Flames 5, Flyers 2: Blake Coleman had a goal and two assists for visiting Calgary, which dealt Philadelphia its seventh consecutive loss.

“We were flat,” Philadelphia head coach John Tortorella said. “I thought it looked like two teams with low energy.”

Jets 4, Hurricanes 3: Josh Morrissey’s second goal of the game, 2:10 into overtime, gave host Winnipeg the victory.

The Jets were ahead 3-0 before the Hurricanes scored three goals in the final 4:48 of the third period, two after pulling goalie Pyotr Kochetkov for the extra attacker with 5:33 remaining.

Islanders 3, Maple Leafs 2: Anthony Beauvillier’s goal at 1:56 of overtime gave visiting New York a victory.
