Shelby Miller worked his way back to the big leagues with a Triple-A stint for the Yankees and then another at Sacramento before the San Francisco Giants called him up in September.

He appears unlikely to return to the Giants next season, however. Miller told The Chronicle on Wednesday that though San Francisco offered him a minorleague deal with an invitation to spring training, he has bigleague offers from two other clubs.

Miller, 32, made a splash with the Giants in September with 52⁄3 scoreless innings over his first three outings, but he gave up five runs in his final outing of the season.

The Giants are looking to make improvements in the bullpen, and Miller appeared to be a good potential option, given his 14 strikeouts and three walks in seven innings.

The Giants’ bullpen ERA of 4.08 was the 20th highest in MLB after S.F. led the majors in that category (2.99) in 2021.
