Thank you Tara Duggan for a refreshing update on what I consider a crisis at the Point Reyes National Seashore “Water quality dispute grips Point Reyes” (Bay Area, Nov. 27). It is most reassuring that this unique national park will one day get to what it was originally envisioned for in the 1960s when John F. Kennedy signed approval for it. The fact that over 50 years later, it is still not an example of a natural setting, but is polluted by manmade activity, is really something of an embarrassm­ent to those of us who know its history.
