No. 6 Baylor blown out by Marquette 96-70

Olivier-Maxence Prosper scored 24 points and Marquette stayed perfect at home by routing No. 6 Baylor 96-70. The Golden Eagles (6-2) are 5-0 at home. The Bears (5-2) were led by LJ Cryer's 16 points.

#1 Houston 100, Norfolk St. 52: Marcus Sasser scored 25 points, Tramon Mark added 16 and the host Cougars (7-0) romped in the their first game as the topranked team in nearly 40 years — March 14, 1983. They donned their 1980s throwback uniforms. The Cougars next face St. Mary's in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday night.

#16 Illinois 73, Syracuse 44: Coleman Hawkins had 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the host Fighting Illini (6-1) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Orange (3-4) lost their third straight.

#19 Kentucky 60, Bellarmine 41: Antonio Reeves scored 18 points and Jacob Toppin had 12 points for the host Wildcats (5-2).

#22 Maryland 79, Louisville 54: Donta Scott scored 18 points and the visiting Terrapins (7-0) made five consecutiv­e 3-pointers to open the second half to beat the Cardinals (0-7).
