Former USF guard Bouyea joins Heat

Guard Jamaree Bouyea, USF’s career leader in games (160) and wins (98), signed a 10-day deal with the Miami Heat on Wednesday.

Bouyea spent five seasons with the Dons and last season, he averaged 17.3 points and four assists as USF earned its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1998.

He played for the Heat’s summer-league team and has been with Miami’s G League team, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He averaged 19 points and 5.8 assists with Sioux Falls.

Bouyea didn’t play in the Heat’s 116-111 win over Indiana on Wednesday.

Russell to Lakers in reported trade

ESPN reported that the Los Angeles Lakers acquired D’Angelo Russell from the Minnesota Timberwolv­es and sent Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz in a three-team trade.

Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt also come to the Lakers from Utah. Utah guards Mike Conley and Nickeil Alexander-Walker and picks go to Minnesota, and the Jazz get Westbrook, former Warriors swingman Juan Toscano-Anderson and center Damian Jones from the Lakers, along with a 2027 Lakers firstround pick that is top-four protected.

De’Aaron Fox was fouled by Houston’s Eric Gordon with a tenth of a second left in regulation and sank three free throws for visiting Sacramento. Jalen Green (Prolific-Napa) had 41 points for the Rockets. Celtics 106, 76ers 99:

Kristaps Porzingis scored 36 points and tied a career high with eight 3-pointers, and host Washington ended a three-game skid. Raptors 112, Spurs 98:

Pascal Siakam had 37 points and 10 rebounds and visiting Toronto handed San Antonio its 10th consecutiv­e loss. Heat 116, Pacers 111: Bam Adebayo tied his season high with 38 points and host Miami held off Indiana.

Cavaliers 113, Pistons 85:

Jarrett Allen scored 20 points and host Cleveland won its fourth straight game despite resting its starting backcourt. AllStar starter Donovan Mitchell (groin) and Darius Garland (thumb), who average a combined 48.8 points, got the night off.
