February 11, 1954 – February 25, 2023

Dad passed away suddenly on Saturday February 25th, two weeks after his 69th birthday. Pat leaves behind his three loving daughters, Michelle Navarrete (Luis Piek), Shannon (Troy) Ackelbien, and Monica (Johnny) Hall, and former wife Betty. Grandfather to his cherished grandchildren, Michaela, Tyler, and Maxine. Pat was one of five children leaving behind Maureen (Dan) McCarthy, and Jim (Debbie) Kennedy. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret Kennedy, and his sisters Eileen Kennedy and Katie Kennedy Shinn. Pat was fortunate to belong to a large extended family here in the Bay Area, San Antonio, and Ireland.

Pat was very proud of his San Francisco Sunset District roots, making lifelong friends. He attended Holy Name grammar school (1968) and Saint Ignatius High School (1972). He was considered a good student (when he deemed it necessary to attend class). Pat worked for many years in the retail grocery industry while raising his family in Benicia. Pat was a life-long fan of the San Francisco Forty Niners and the San Francisco Giants. He always said his greatest achievement was raising his beautiful, loving daughters, and watching his grandchildren grow up. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who we will love and miss for the rest of our lives.

Mass will be held Saturday, March 11th at 11:00 AM at St. Dominic’s Church in Benicia - 475 East I Street, Benicia, CA 94510

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Patrick to St. Jude Hospital and the American Heart Association.
