Floyd Rollins

Mr. Floyd Kenneth Rollins was born on July 16th, 1939, in Beaumont, Texas and later moved to San Francisco, California.

Before moving to San Francisco, Mr. Rollins served in the US Air Force in Tacoma, Washington, where he met and married the love of his life, Johnnie. They were wonderfull­y married for 47 years before her passing in 2015.

Mr. Rollins accepted Christ at a young age and became the church organist. He played and directed the choir at First Baptist Church in Palm Springs, California, where his father, Rev. Jeff Rollins, was the pastor. Over his lifetime he played for Bethlehem Baptist Church (Tacoma), St. John Missionary Baptist Church (Oakland), and Missionary Temple CME Church (San Francisco) which became the family’s home church. He was also active as a trustee in property manager.

As a well-known local realtor, Floyd Rollins worked for Davis Realty and Ward Realty Co. He later decided to branch out on his own and started Rollins Realty.

Mr. Rollins will be dearly missed by his sons, Floyd II and Christophe­r (Krystall), brother Jeff Rollins, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends and family are invited for visitation On Friday, March 24th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Duggan’s Funeral Service, 3434 17th Street (and Valencia), San Francisco.

Mr. Rollins’ Celebratio­n of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 25th, 11:00 am at Missionary Temple CME Church, 1455 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Mission Road, Colma.
