A man accused of stealing $14,600 worth of Red Bull energy drinks and vodka from a business in Vallejo has been arrested, authorities said.

The Vallejo Police Department said Sunday it arrested a man who targeted a store in the 900 block of Admiral Callaghan Lane more than 20 times to steal cases of Red Bull and bottles of New Amsterdam vodka. He had warrants out for his arrest in Solano County for possessing a stolen vehicle and in Napa County for theft.

A woman who acted as an alleged getaway driver in a vehicle with mismatched license plates was also arrested.

Both were booked into Solano County Jail on felony charges.

Police officials said they received a call on Oct. 15 about the thief, known as the “Red Bull thief,” who had been stealing from the store.

With surveillance footage and details of the suspects provided by the store’s employees, officers were able to locate both suspects and their car near Florida and Yuba streets and arrested them, police said.

The stolen merchandise found in the vehicle was returned to the business, police officials said.
