Robin Williams’ former Sea Cliff home back on market at $25M

The former San Francisco home of the late comedian and actor Robin Williams and his ex-wife, “Mrs. Doubtfire” producer Marsha Garces Williams, has hit the market for $25 million.

This Italian Renaissanc­e-style residence, located at 540 El Camino Del Mar, occupies a prime gated corner lot in the city’s tony Sea Cliff neighborho­od, offering panoramic vistas of iconic landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marin Headlands and the mouth of San Francisco Bay.

Constructe­d in 1926, the threelevel dwelling spans 10,600 square feet and boasts six bedrooms, five full bathrooms and three half bathrooms. The house includes a Japanese-themed bathroom with a raised soaking tub, a library, a media room and a wine cellar. The property also features a walk-in vault and a separate one-bedroom guest apartment.

What sets the house apart is the touches added by Williams, including secret rooms and hidden passageway­s designed for his children.

For years, the property featured a giant topiary dinosaur peeking out over its walls.

It is listed by Compass agent Steve Mavromihal­is, who recently sold the San Francisco home prominentl­y featured in the Disney live-action feature “The Princess Diaries” at 2601 Lyon St.

Records indicate that Robin Williams and Marsha Garces Williams acquired the property for $3.2 million in 1991. The couple, who were married from 1989 to 2010 and had two children, renovated the house with original elements. Marsha was granted the house following their divorce.
