Aerosmith has announced new dates for its Peace Out farewell tour, seven months after a vocal injury to frontman Steven Tyler forced the band off the road after just three shows.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band, best known for hits like “Dream On,” “Walk This Way” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” now plans to perform Nov. 30 at Chase Center in San Francisco, making up for a date originally scheduled for last December. The band also added a stop at SAP Center at San Jose on Dec. 4.

Aerosmith’s farewell tour began with a four-hour set in Philadelphia on Sept. 2, 2023, featuring support from the Black Crowes. But the tour was suspended after Tyler fractured his larynx during a performance in Long Island, N.Y., a few days later.

“I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers, and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world,” Tyler, 75, said in a statement. “I promise we will be back as soon as we can!”

Formed in Boston in 1970, Aerosmith is now touring without drummer Joey Kramer, who took a “temporary leave of absence” during the band’s Las Vegas residency last year. In 2020, Kramer sued his bandmates — Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton and guitarist Brad Whitford — for performing at the Grammys without him while he recovered from an unspecified health issue.

“While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health,” the band said in a joint statement. “Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”

During Aerosmith’s unplanned hiatus, a New York judge dismissed a lawsuit accusing Tyler of assaulting a model in the 1970s. However, Tyler is still facing a separate lawsuit in California for allegedly abusing a 16-year-old girl during the same decade.
