James “Jim” F. Haugh

Born June 3, 1938 in Oak­land CA. Passed away peace­fully, and un­ex­pect­edly, Septem­ber 9, 2018 in San Rafael, CA. Jim had suf­fered from Alzheimer’s Dis­ease for the past four years. Hus­band to Jeanne Chris­tensen Haugh for 52 years. Fa­ther to El­iz­a­beth Haugh Kier­nan (Thomas Kier­nan) and James Haugh Jr (An­toinette Chavez Haugh). Grand­fa­ther to Brid­get Kier­nan, Brendan Kier­nan, and Car­men Haugh. Pre­de­ceased by his par­ents Thomas and Mary Haugh, his brother Fr Solano, OFM, and his sis­ter Sr Thomas Anne, CSC. Jim was proud to be from East Oak­land and loved the Oak­land A’s. He was a grad­u­ate of St. El­iz­a­beth’s High School and the Univer­sity of San Fran­cisco. Jim re­tired from the So­cial Se­cu­rity Ad­min­is­tra­tion with 25 years of ser­vice, and the Cal­i­for­nia De­part­ment of Trans­porta­tion with 12 years of ser­vice.

The fam­ily would like to thank Tina, Nancy, and the staff at Schon Hyme Care­home for the lov­ing care pro­vided to Jim at the end of his life. And Jen, Dana and all the staff of Se­nior Ac­cess in San Rafael. Jim was an en­thu­si­as­tic mem­ber of The Club where he be­came an artist at the end of his years.
