Bar­bara Con­don Son­sini, the wife of Larry Son­sini, a Founder and Se­nior Part­ner of Wil­son Son­sini Goodrich & Rosati, died on Novem­ber 28, 2018, sur­rounded by her lov­ing fam­ily. She was 79 years old. The cause of death is ovar­ian can­cer, which was di­ag­nosed in June of this past year.

Bar­bara was born in San Fran­cisco on Novem­ber 7, 1939 to Colonel John Con­don and Betty Con­don of San Ma­teo. Her grand­fa­ther, Charles G. Har­vey, at­tended the U.S. States Mil­i­tary Academy at West Point at the same time as Gen­eral Dou­glas MacArthur and served with him in the Philip­pines dur­ing World War II. Bar­bara grad­u­ated from Pomona Col­lege and re­ceived a Mas­ters of Ed­u­ca­tion from Stan­ford Univer­sity. She also stud­ied in Geneva, Vi­enna, and Mex­ico. For many years, she taught Ger­man and French at Cu­per­tino High School in Cal­i­for­nia.

Bar­bara grew up an avid ten­nis player, com­pet­ing in sev­eral ju­nior tour­na­ments in her youth. Later, she be­came a de­voted and ac­com­plished bridge player, ac­cu­mu­lat­ing over 7,500 mas­ter­points in a rel­a­tively short time, while play­ing in sev­eral re­gional and na­tional tour­na­ments, as well as the World Bridge Team Cham­pi­onships in In­done­sia in 2013.

Bar­bara is sur­vived by her hus­band Larry, daugh­ter Al­i­son, step­sons Matthew and Peter, and eight won­der­ful grand­chil­dren. Her sis­ter, Joan Con­don Paul, passed away in 2016.
