Irv­ing leads Celtics’ rally over Suns

Kyrie Irv­ing scored 18 of his 39 points in the fourth quar­ter and over­time, and Bos­ton ral­lied from a 22-point deficit for a 116-109 win over the Suns in Phoenix on Thurs­day night.

Irv­ing scored the Celtics’ first six points in the ex­tra pe­riod, and Mar­cus Mor­ris fin­ished with 17 against his for­mer team — three com­ing on the ty­ing shot with 1.1 sec­onds left in reg­u­la­tion off a pass from Irv­ing.

Mor­ris hit from the top of the arc, send­ing the game to OT at 100-100. Jaylen Brown added 17 points, all af­ter half­time, for the Celtics. Devin Booker paced the Suns with a sea­son-high 38 points, and TJ War­ren had 29.

Trail Blaz­ers 116, Clip­pers 105:

Damian Lil­lard had 25 points and host Port­land picked up its third straight win. CJ McCol­lum added 23 points for the Blaz­ers, who had on six of seven. Danilo Gal­li­nari and Lou Wil­liams each scored 20, and Shai Gil­geous-Alexan­der had a ca­reer-high 19 for Los An­ge­les.

Thun­der 98, Rock­ets 80:

Paul Ge­orge scored 20 points and host Ok­la­homa City, which was with­out Rus­sell West­brook, beat Hous­ton for its sev­enth straight vic­tory. West­brook missed his sec­ond con­sec­u­tive game with a sprained left an­kle. Ge­orge also had 11 re­bounds, six as­sists and six steals. James Har­den scored 19 points, but made just 7 of 19 shots for the Rock­ets.

Cavs’ Hill side­lined: Cleve­land point guard Ge­orge Hill could miss two weeks with a sprained right shoul­der.
