Moms 4 Housing sets a great precedent

-

The dangerous precedent was that banks profited on loans exploiting poor folks, then profited again during 2008 economic collapse that they created, and then banks profited again by holding properties off the market.

Moms 4 Housing is a great precedent, showing that people power can have an impact. When we bailed out the banks, that was the horrible precedent which increases future likelihood of bank shenanigans which threaten to collapse the country’s economy.

Don’t be myopic about “property rights” and fear for your home; that’s like a mouse fretting about a piece of cheese during a magnitude 9 earthquake.

The challenge for USA is to reorient government, society, banks and other corps to serve people and planet before collecting profits. Otherwise, corps and government continue to be highly efficient machines of destruction.
