PARIS >> Sofia Kenin entered 2020 with an 11-11 record in Grand Slam action. She never had made the quarterfinals at any clay- court tournament until this trip to Roland Garros — and lost her only tuneup match on the surface 6- 0, 6- 0 last month.

Iga Swiatek is just 19. She’s ranked 54th. She’s never won a tour-level title of any sort. She’d never before been past the fourth round at a major tournament.

Look at the two of them now — French Open finalists.

Already the owner of a major trophy from this year’s Australian Open, the No. 4-seeded Kenin moved into the title match in Paris by beating No. 7 Petra Kvitova 6- 4, 7-5 on Thursday.

AP SOURCE: BILLS-TITANS, BRONCOS - PAT R IOTS R E - SCHEDULED BY NFL >> The Bills-Titans game has been moved from Sunday to Tuesday night as long as Tennessee has no more positive tests for COVID-19 in the interim, a person with direct knowledge of the switch tells The Associated Press.

The NFL also is rescheduling Sunday’s Broncos-Patriots game from Sunday to Monday night after New England had a smaller outbreak of COVID-19, the person said Thursday, speaking on condition of anonymity because the league and teams had not officially announced the changes.

Three games now have been postponed due to the pandemic: Pittsburgh at Tennessee in Week 3 was moved to Oct. 25.

Buf falo is scheduled to host Kansas City next Thursday, and that game will be rescheduled.

The Titans’ outbreak increased to 23 Thursday with tight end MyCole Pruitt and a defensive back from the practice squad put on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday afternoon. The Titans’ facility remains closed with the team still prohibited from any inperson activities.

BRAVES 7, MARLINS 0 >> Rookie Kyle Wright dazzled for six innings in his postseason debut, and Atlanta rode their superb pitching to beat Miami for a threegame sweep and their first trip to the NL Championship Series since 2001.

Atlanta had lost eight straight Division Series, including in each of the previous two seasons, before outscoríng the Marlins 185, including 11- 0 in the final two games. The Braves are 5- 0 with a 0.92 ERA in the postseason, allowing five runs in 49 innings.

There were only a few scattered cheers as the Braves wrapped up the series in an almost empty Minute Maid Park, where the only fans allowed were players’ friends and families.

DECHAMBEAU BLASTS HIS WAY TO 62 AND EARLY LEAD >> Bryson DeChambeau put on another power display and it worked just as well as when he won the U.S. Open.

In his first start since winning at Winged Foot last month, DeChambeau had two-putt birdies on all three of the par 5s and two of the par 4s on his way to a 9-under 62 and the early lead in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

Among early starters, DeChambeau had a oneshot lead over Harold Varner III and Austin Cook.

SHARKS LET ROYWALK >> The San Jose Sharks have issued qualifying offers to restricted free agents Kevin Labanc, Jonathan Dahlen and Tony Sund, but are letting defenseman, Jeremy Roy, a 2015 second round draft pick, become a free agent.

Roy, 23, played 113 games for the Barracuda of the AHL from 2017 to 2020, but his career has been plagued by serious knee injuries. He tore the left anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Oct. 2016, and was injured again in Dec. 2017, cutting his first pro season short.
