Curtain rises on ‘End of the World’

The San Lorenzo Valley High School Theatre Department will present “The End of the World (With Prom to Follow)” by Sean Abley.

Performanc­es are at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. performanc­e for Sunday matinees at the school’s performing arts center, 7105 Highway 9 in Felton. There is a special Community Night performanc­e at 7 p.m. October 21 when all tickets are $10 each.

A limited number of tickets will be available to purchase at the door an hour befor curtain. Advanced tickets are available online at the SLV Theatre Boosters webpage. Purchasing advance tickets is highly recommende­d. Directed by SLV seniors Jacqueline Lopez and Shimona Miller, the subject matter of the play is not recommende­d for young children.

The play is set in Great Falls, Montana. The students of Charles M. Russell High School awake to find no parents, no siblings, no teachers. Everyone but the student body has vanished.
