A caring doctor who recognizes benefits of trail
We have a disabled son who has been a patient of Dr. Robert Quinn for 20 years. Dr. Quinn is a physical medicine and rehab doctor who sees many severely handicapped patients, many in wheelchairs. Dr. Quinn recognizes what a great resource the rail corridor can be if it serves as an access to nature for these patients. He recognizes the potential of creating a wide trail, with walking areas for wheelchairs and pedestrians as well as a divided and separated path for bikes and e-vehicles. He also understands that transportation dollars are a limited resource and should be used for maximum benefit, not held hostage to a train that at most would make a very limited (<5%) dent in Highway 1 traffic. The writer of a Sunday Letter to the Editor should be careful with his words before defaming a responsible doctor who sincerely cares for his patients.
