Realtors donate to Pajaro Valley Shelter Services

The agents at Christie's International Real Estate Sereno Coastal offices last week presented a $7,500 check to Pajaro Valley Shelter Services, their Q2 Community Impact grant recipient for April-June 2022.

Make donations out of lemonade

Applebee's of Watsonville, along with other locations owned and operated by Flynn Restaurant Group, have announced their 18th annual fundraising campaign to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a pediatric cancer charity funding cancer treatment research, will take place through Aug. 21.

Participating Applebee's locations will donate 25 cents from each traditional lemonade and flavored lemonade sale, in addition to 10 cents from each Strawberry Summer Squeeze or Electric Lemon Crush sale, to benefit the foundation. On Aug. 20 National Lemonade Day, all Applebee locations will donate 25 cents from all lemonade sales. Since the fundraising campaign's inception, Applebee's locations owned and operated by Flynn Restaurant Group have raised more than $13.2 million for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Bank reports earnings

Santa Cruz County Bank on Thursday announced unaudited earnings for the second quarter ended June 30. Net income for the quarter was $6.37 million, 18% over prior quarter, and 20% or $1.08 million more than the same quarter in 2021.
