6 p.m. on FREE The Fosters With Stef (Teri Polo) working longer hours in her new position, a frazzled Lena (Sherri Saum) starts to feel overwhelme­d by mothering five teenagers on top of her own job pressures in the new episode “Dirty Laundry.” Jude (Hayden Byerly), tortured by relentless bullying at school, starts acting out. Callie (Maia Mitchell) heads to Los Angeles with Aaron (guest star Elliot Fletcher) to visit his parents. David Lambert also stars.

7 p.m. on PBS Dead Reckoning: War & Justice The post-World War II history of war crimes is examined in this new special, divided into three one-hour segments detailing the pursuit of those who committed genocide and other mass felonies. The opening installmen­t, “The General’s Ghost,” focuses on Gen. Douglas MacArthur’s campaign against a Japanese counterpar­t, Tomoyuki Yamashita — sentenced to death despite a lack of evidence that he had anything to do with such atrocities in the Philippine­s.

7 p.m. on CBS NCIS Veteran character actor Bruce McGill (Rizzoli & Isles ,N ational Lampoon’s Animal House) guest stars as a surly Vietnam War veteran who may — or may not — help Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the team solve a Marine’s murder in the new episode “The Wall.” The story also involves the Honor Flight Network, which helps former soldiers visit military memorials.

8 p.m. on FOX Bones One of Fox’s longestlas­ting series bids farewell as “The Final Chapter: The End in the End” — directed by series co-star David Boreanaz, pictured. The rest of the team must seek elusive, lethal Mark Kovac (guest star Gerard Celasco) without Brennan (Emily Deschanel, pictured), but she eventually rejoins Booth (Boreanaz) for what’s destined to be the final showdown.

9 p.m. on ABC People Icons The last scheduled episode of this series focuses on one of People magazine’s best-known features, the annual “Sexiest Man Alive” issue. Expectedly, the hour showcases many of the celebritie­s who have earned that particular honor over the years — including the one who has held the title since November, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
