7 p.m. on FOX MasterChef

It might take a strong stomach for some viewers to make it through the new episode “Whole-y Cow!,” which comes by its title naturally. The 15 remaining contestants have to choose from a variety of mystery boxes, each of which contains — we’ll try to put this delicately — a different part of a cow that becomes the main ingredient in a recipe. Judges Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi and Aaron Sanchez then decide who stays and who leaves.

7 p.m. on DSC The Lost Cage

In this new special, a plucky — or perhaps foolhardy — team of explorers acts as human lures in the open ocean as they float in a one-of-a-kind shark cage, 500 miles into the Gulf of Mexico. They’re not just doing this for extreme kicks, mind you: They’re trying to have an up-close encounter with one of the deadliest sharks in the Gulf region.

7 p.m. on LIFE

Little Women: LA: Couples Retreat Cast members from the various “Little Women” franchises try to repair their damaged relationships by getting together with a relationship counselor and going through a number of excursions and exercises in this new unscripted series. Featured are L.A. couples Tonya and Kerwin, Briana and Matt, and Christy and Todd, along with Atlanta’s Tiny Twinz, Andrea and Amanda, with their respective boyfriends, Chris and Jordan, as well as New York couple Lila and Brian.

8 p.m. on BBCA Broadchurch

A new witness comes forward with a story that stuns Ellie and Hardy (Olivia Colman, David Tennant) and completely turns their understanding of Trish’s (Julie Hesmondhalgh) case upside down in the new “Episode 5.” Katie (Georgina Campbell), meanwhile, finds a vital link between the case and a key suspect, whose alibi looks very shaky upon further investigation. Beth (Jodie Whittaker) and her supervisor also have some new revelations to offer.

8:02 p.m. on LIFE So Sharp

Todd Sharp, pictured, who coaches the Ladybirds, the University of Louisville Dance Team, is the driving force behind this new unscripted series, which follows the company as its members prepare for various competitions. The Ladybirds have more than 15 national championships under their belt, and Todd is shifting into full-blown drill sergeant mode to get them ready for this year’s rivalry.
