7 p.m. on ABC Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Coulson (Clark Gregg, pictured) and his colleagues get a later start on the season than usual, and they have a new setting — outer space, as teased in the Season 4 finale — in the fifth-year premiere, the twohour “Orientatio­n (Part One)” and “Orientatio­n (Part Two).” For all the interstell­ar adventures they’ll have, things remain personal in many cases ... as they do for Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), who has no idea what to expect when she’s reunited with Fitz (Iain De Caestecker).

8 p.m. on FOX The Exorcist

The countdown is on for the exorcism to be completed in the new episode “A Heaven of Hell,” but the sinister spirit is determined to use every wile against Marcus and Tomas (Ben Daniels, Alfonso Herrera). Mouse (Zuleikha Robinson) — whose past is revealed — and Father Bennett (Kurt Egyiawan) travel to rendezvous with the priests. Alicia Witt continues her guest role.

Raven-Symone and Issac Ryan Brown co-host this holiday special, one of three such programs premiering this week from the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Fla.

HBO presents a new stand-up comedy series showcasing a strong talent roster. Hosted by Tony Rock and taped in October at the Avalon Theatre in Los Angeles, Season 1 features performanc­es in a variety of styles from such establishe­d comics as Deon Cole (blackish), and JJ Williamson, along with such upand-comers as Alex Babbit.
