9 a.m. on ABC Disney Parks Magical Christmas Celebratio­n The traditiona­l Very Merry Christmas Parade is a big part of this new special presented from the Disney company’s theme parks, with Julianne Hough and Nick Lachey as hosts and Jesse Palmer as co-host. Among the performers: 98 Degrees, Lea Michele, Jason Derulo, Ciara, Darius Rucker, Fifth Harmony, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Aladdin stage-production veterans Telly Leung and Arielle Jacobs. 6 p.m. on HALL When Calls the Heart An episode called “The Christmas Wishing Tree” revolves around a new town feature in Hope Valley: a tree on which locals can place their fondest wishes and hope they come true. Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) is dreaming of the return of her fiance, Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing). Mayor Abigail Stanton (Lori Loughlin) coordinate­s plans for the first local Christmas Parade. 7 p.m. on BBCA Doctor Who The 2017 Christmas episode, “Twice Upon a Time,” finds the 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi, pictured, right) fighting the need to regenerate when a wrinkle in time brings him into contact with the very first incarnatio­n of the Doctor (guest star David Bradley, Game of Thrones). The pair are joined by a World War I officer (guest star Mark Gatiss, pictured, left) for this time-trippy adventure, which climaxes with the first appearance by Jodie Whittaker, the first actress to play the Doctor. 8 p.m. on PBS Call the Midwife In the new “Holiday Special” edition of the drama, written by series creator Heidi Thomas, snowy and bitterly cold conditions continue to challenge the residents of Poplar as power outages affect the area. Those also mean career concerns for Valerie (Jennifer Kirby), who has second thoughts about her skills as a midwife, and Dr. Turner (Stephen McGann) after he loses a patient. 9 p.m. on LIFEMOV Movie: Ex-Wife Killer Josie (Marguerite Moreau) is stunned when her ex, Michael (Jordan Belli), stumbles into her flower shop and makes her a business offer she can’t refuse, but it turns out to be prologue to getting dragged into a bitter divorce battle between Michael and another, allegedly “crazy,” spouse. It’s not long before Josie realizes there is some grave doubt as to which of the parties is certifiabl­y nuts. Arianne Zucker also stars in this 2017 drama.
