Landscape experts Sara Bendrick and Chris Lambton demonstrat­e how to dramatical­ly boost the curb appeal of homes that are being overlooked by prospectiv­e buyers in this new 10-episode series, which finds the duo working with disappoint­ed homeowners to enhance or even rip out and replace existing front lawns and install appealing new design elements. In the series premiere, Chris and Sara try to help a couple whose starter home has sat on the market for three months. Another episode follows.

It’s a good thing Eric (Luke Roberts) is in the business he’s in, because his relatives often need his help. His daughter was a captive in this show’s season premiere, and now, it’s his mother (guest star Maria Riccosa) who’s a prisoner in the new episode “Legacy.” A celebrated surgeon, she’s forced to perform an operation on a crime kingpin — and to save her, he’ll have to contact his estranged father (guest star John Bourgeois). Sarah Greene, Brandon Jay McLaren and Nazneen Contractor also star.

7 p.m. on SHOW Patrick Melrose

Benedict Cumberbatc­h (Sherlock) stars in this five-part adaptation of an acclaimed series of semiautobi­ographical novels by Edward St. Aubyn, with each episode drawn from a different book, starting with “Bad News.” The story chronicles Patrick’s (Cumberbatc­h) challengin­g journey from a childhood fraught with abuse to a turbulent adult life. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Hugo Weaving play his parents in a strong ensemble that also includes Allison Williams (Get Out), pictured, Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife) and Holliday Grainger (The Borgias).

Emmy-winning actor Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us) and his wife, Ryan Michelle Bathe, are among the guests as this docu-series launches its second season with a premiere called “How Love Begins.” Among the other guests talking about how their successful relationsh­ips got started are Grammy-winning gospel artist Kirk Franklin and his spouse, Tammy, and actor Alano Miller (Jane

the Virgin) and his wife, DeWanda Wise.

Someone with her own distinctiv­e comedy style returns to this program, as Amy Schumer — currently on view in the movie I Feel Pretty — takes her second turn as guest host with this new episode. The musical act, however, is someone new to the show: country star Kacey Musgraves, who’s been riding a fresh wave of success with her album Golden Hour.
