Oh, those bones ... they have generated a lot of questions and suspense for Red and Liz (James Spader and Megan Boone, pictured) over the better part of the season, and the moment of truth about them arrives as the drama’s fifth year concludes with “Sutton Ross (No. 17).” Someone on the Blacklist (guest star Julian Sands) now has the literal bag of bones, with Liz still desperate to acquire it and determine just how it figures unto Tom’s death. Harry Lennix also stars.

7 p.m. on CW Riverdale

Fred (Luke Perry) could use a boost on Election Day, so Archie (KJ Apa) decides to help in the show’s second-season finale, “Chapter Thirty-Five: Brave New World.” Veronica (Camila Mendes) tries to stay in front of Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) new plot. Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) wins her independen­ce legally. Betty (Lili Reinhart) engages in what may be her ultimate battle ... against herself. A Comic-Con-type event lures Phil and Mitchell (Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson) in “Clash of Swords,” the finale of the comedy’s ninth season. Once there, Phil ends up making a very serious misstep for any fan. Gloria (Sofia Vergara) finds herself in competitio­n with Dr. Donna Duncan (guest star Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock) to stage the bigger and better party.

Jason (David Boreanaz) plays injured — though no one else knows it — by trying to keep the extent of his concussion secret in “The Cost of Doing Business,” which ends the adventure-drama’s first season. He’s determined to see that those who staged the attack on Echo Team pay an appropriat­e price, even if he puts his health at risk to do so. Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., Jessica Pare, A.J. Buckley and Toni Trucks also star.

9 p.m. on NBC Inside the Royal Wedding: Harry and Meghan

In the days leading up to the big event in England this weekend, there’s no shortage of television fare about the occasion and the couple, as this new special helps to affirm. Today co-anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb host the hour, which is scheduled to feature certain wedding invitees giving their insights on the love story of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Entertainm­ent figures and fashion experts also are slated to weigh in on the nuptials.
