6 p.m. on DSC Air Jaws: Back From the Dead
The future of the wildly popular “Air Jaws” franchise — which captures exhilarating footage of sharks launching themselves out of the water to capture their prey — has been in doubt since orcas decimated many of the featured Great Whites near Cape Town, South Africa, but filmmakers Jeff Kurr and Chris Fallows hope they’ve found a fertile new setting for more episodes in the waters around New Zealand.
6 p.m. on HIST Sniper: The Ultimate Competition
Tim Kennedy — himself a Green Beret and Ranger-qualified Special Forces sniper — plays host in this riveting new two-hour documentary special, as some of the world’s most lethal sharpshooters culled from the military, law enforcement and federal arenas descend on Fort Benning, Ga., to test their specialized skills in competition. They will vie in seven events that are based on real combat situations, including firing from airborne helicopters, and enact scenarios based on actual events like the Battle of Mogadishu.
7 p.m. on CW Burden of Truth
Following her runs on Beauty and the
Beast and Smallville, Kristin Kreuk returns to The CW in a new drama series that already has aired its first season in her native Canada. The “Pilot” introduces the actress (also an executive producer here) as Joanna Hanley, a lawyer working in her father’s (Alex Carter) firm, and returning to her hometown for a case involving similar illnesses developed by several young women — but the situation isn’t what it first seems.
8 p.m. on OWN Queen Sugar
In “The Tree and the Stone Were One,” Charley (Dawn-Lyen Gardner) receives support from an unexpected quarter in her fight against Sam Landry (David Jensen). Meanwhile, Nova (Rutina Wesley) receives an offer that’s just about impossible for her to refuse, and Violet (Tina Lifford) learns the fate of her pie business. Elsewhere, Micah (Nicholas Ashe) and his friends execute their plan for the plantation, and Charley learns the truth about something important.

In the Season 3 finale, “What Goes Around,” Will (Josh Holloway) has no choice but to make a painful sacrifice to protect his family.
