Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society: Sunny, a 4-year-old mixed-breed dog, weighs about 18 pounds. This cute guy is super lovable and sweet and gets along with everyone. He’s a lap dog who enjoys going for walks. Taj, a 3-year-old male domestic shorthair, is a great cat who loves to play with toys.

These and other animals are available for adoption from the shelter at 100 Caja del Rio Road. The shelter’s adoption hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Visit adoptable animals in the community during the shelter’s weekend mobile adoption events: from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Pooch Pantry, 301 N. Guadalupe St.; and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, PetSmart Santa Fe, 3561 Zafarano Drive. Visit www.sfhumanesociety.org or call 505-983-4309, ext. 1610.

She’ll need an active family. Purple, a 10-week-old male kitten, is an affectionate boy who loves crunchy treats and lounging next to you. He has lived well with other cats and has a huge personality.

These and other animals are available for adoption at the shelter, 108 Hamm Parkway. The shelter is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Call 505-753-8662 or visit www.evalleyshelter.org.

Felines & Friends: Girlie and her two adult cats, Buddy and Inky, were relinquished. Girlie is a sweet and gentle adult female cat. They’d do best in a home together, but Girlie might also do well in a home with a retired person. Buddy is a handsome boy with tabby patches and Inky is the smallest of the cats and has tabby patched markings.

Cats of all ages are available for adoption from Felines & Friends. Visit them at Teca Tu in the DeVargas Center, Petco on Cerrillos Road and Santa Fe Cats. Adoption advisers are available from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at Petco. Call 505-316-CAT1 or visit www.fan dfnm.org.

The Horse Shelter: Gaho, a 5-year-old dark mare, is halter trained and has done some groundwork. She’s healthy and friendly, but will not be able to be ridden.

She’ll make an excellent companion horse. Find adoptable horses at www.the horseshelter.org or call 505-4716179.
