Teen Choice 2018 Lots of surfboards will be up for grabs again, since they’re the “trophies” that go to the winners in this yearly event, presented from The Forum in Los Angeles. The results of young fans’ voting for favorites in movies, television, music, sports, comedy and digital media are announced. The top nominee among movies is Avengers:

Infinity War with seven bids, while Riverdale and Shadowhunt­ers lead the TV contenders with five each. Nick Cannon serves as host, with Khalid among the featured performers. Fear the Walking Dead A traumatize­d Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey) confronts a bleak future as this The Walking Dead companion series returns from its midseason hiatus with the new episode “People Like Us.” Following the horrific events of the last episode, Alicia is the lone survivor of her biological family and the prospect of coping with this ongoing nightmare without them is almost more than she can bear. Fortunatel­y, Morgan Jones (Lennie James) does what he can to help Alicia and the rest of the survivors as a storm brews. The $100,000 Pyramid Lots of laughs are in the cards as comedy stars make up the cast of celebrity players in this new episode. In the first game, Ken Jeong (Community) and Nico Santos (Superstore) — both of whom also are in the new movie Crazy Rich Asians — vie to get their playing partners to the bigmoney winner’s circle. Then, Kathy Najimy returns to the show to compete against Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows.

9 p.m. on NBC Shades of Blue

It’s no secret that not everyone can be trusted in this series, and Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) learns about another double-crossing in the new episode “Goodnight, Sweet Prince.” Cole (Nick Wechsler) tries to get himself out of Ramsey’s (Bruce McGill) crosshairs. Wozniak (Ray Liotta) attempts to reach an accord with the intelligen­ce unit.

11 p.m. on HBO Ballers

The hit sports comedy returns for Season 4 with “Rough Ride,” which finds Spencer and Joe (Dwayne Johnson, pictured, and Rob Corddry) pondering the pluses and minuses of taking over an extreme-sports agency. Elsewhere, Ricky (John David Washington) soon finds himself yearning for something more after trying to settle down in Los Angeles with Amber (Brittany S. Hall) and their daughter. As Charles (Omar Benson Miller) starts his new tenure with the Rams, he rallies a band of disenchant­ed employees.
