MEET CORNELIUS: The Santa Fe Children’s Museum, 1050 Old Pecos Trail, invites families to visit with corn snake Cornelius from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5 for children and free for infants. SEEDS AND SPROUTS: Learn all about plants through weekly themed activities from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Santa Fe Children’s Museum. Children will do hands-on gardening and nature craft projects, by admission. STEAM COMMUNITY DAY: The New Mexico Museum of Art, 107 W. Palace Ave., hosts a STEAM-themed celebration of two exhibitions from noon to 4 p.m. The event includes activities centered on science, technology, engineering, art and math, as well as a scavenger hunt with prizes.

ALL-AGES CHESS: The Vista Grande Public Library in Eldorado presents a chess program from 3 to 5 p.m. All players under 12 must have parental permission.

SCIENCE SATURDAYS: The Santa Fe Children’s Museum offers science fun for all ages from 1 to 3 p.m. with guest scientists and STEM instructors. A new experiment or activity every week; by admission. HARVEST & FIBER FEST: The Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood hosts its fifth annual festival showcasing fiber arts and celebrating the harvest season. The event begins with a 9 a.m. tractor parade from the park to the Tractor Supply store along historic Route 66. The park’s final chuckwagon dinner show for the season will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Chuckwagon tickets are $27 for adults, $25 for seniors, $12 for children 5 to 11 and free for children 4 and younger. All other activities are by admission: $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for students and free for children 4 and younger.

HARVEST & FIBER FEST: The Wildlife West Nature Park in Edgewood hosts its fifth annual festival showcasing fiber arts and celebrating the harvest season. MAKING HISTORY: Explore railroad heritage and learn about future train technologies during a hands-on program at the New Mexico History Museum, 113 Lincoln Ave, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Free with admission, New Mexico residents free the first Sunday of the month.
