In the midst of climate fears and partisan stagnation, there’s sudden hope.

The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act has just been introduced by two Republican and three Democratic representatives.

Applause to Reps. Ted Deutch, D-Fla.; Tom Rooney, R-Fla.; Charlie Crist, D-Fla.; Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa.; and John Delaney, D-Md., for the most significant climate legislation Congress has seen in more than a decade, which would create more than 2 million jobs, improve everyone’s health, promote energy innovation — and lower greenhouse gas emission, by moe than 33 percent in the next 10 years.
