Weeks’ homer leads Isotopes to 5-4 win over El Paso
ALBUQUERQUE — Drew Weeks hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning, leading the Albuquerque Isotopes to a 5-4 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas on Sunday.
The home run by Weeks capped a four-run inning and gave the Isotopes a 5-4 lead after Sam Hilliard hit a two-run double earlier in the inning.
The Chihuahuas went up 4-1 when Seth Mejias-Brean hit a solo home run in the sixth.
James Pazos (1-0) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Luis Perdomo (2-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.
