Former motorcycle gang member and prison inmate turned bounty hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman returns to pursuing fugitives in this sequel to Dog the Bounty Hunter, the cable series that made him a reality TV star during its 10-year run. He’s joined by wife, Beth, and their tireless team — dubbed “The Dirty Dozen” — but the show also may draw some viewers via another part of the Chapmans’ story: Beth’s (pictured) gallant yet eventually unsuccessf­ul battle against throat cancer.

When this sitcom launched in 2015, even people who liked this story of a 40-ish editor (Sutton Foster) struggling to survive in a youth-obsessed New York publishing world wondered how long the show could sustain its premise. Well, the answer turns out to be: indefinite­ly. Viewership for Season 6 — which wraps tonight — has gone up, especially in key groups, so TV Land has reupped the comedy for a seventh season. Hilary Duff, Miriam Shor, Peter Hermann and Debi Mazar also star.
