Cate Merriweather (Jodie Sweetin, pictured), the chief executive of a familyowned candy cane factory, is forced to confront the modern financial realities of running a seasonal business in this 2019 yuletide romance. As Christmas approaches, Gabe Carter (Andrew Walker, pictured), a New York consultant who works with struggling firms, is dispatched to assess Cate’s company for possible remedies, but almost immediately clashes with her, due in part to his lack of holiday spirit. As he spends time with Cate, though, he starts to see the charms of small-town life.

As the event coordinator at Treeline Ski Resort, Holly (Melissa Joan Hart) keeps things humming smoothly, ensuring the satisfaction and happiness of all the guests in this 2019 holiday romance. As Christmas approaches, however, she’s a bit thrown when an old college beau (Ricardo Chavira, Desperate Housewives), now a widower, checks in with his two kids. His arrival makes Holly see she has some reservations of her own when it comes to life and love.

Seven Worlds, One Planet
BBC America provides a glimpse of a visually stunning new series set to launch in early 2020 as part of a new naturethemed programming block called “Wonderstruck.” Narrated by Sir David Attenborough and featuring a score from Hans Zimmer’s Bleeding Fingers Music production company, Seven Worlds, One Planet will take a look at each of Earth’s seven continents to explore how each of them shaped the unique animal life that makes its home there.

Saturday Night Live
Kristen Stewart returns to NBC’s iconic Studio 8H for her second stint as host, as well as promote her new Charlie’s Angels action movie in theaters. Stewart’s playing an Angel named Sabrina in the film, but the character is much more punked-out and edgy than the similarly named character played by Kate Jackson in the original ABC TV series. The musical guest is Coldplay.

Austin City Limits Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Patty Griffin leads off an engaging double bill as she and her backing duo perform “River” and other songs from her self-titled 2019 album, her first new music since her highly publicized battle with breast cancer. Following that, the eight-piece New Orleans-based rock band The Revivalists play songs from Take Good Care, including the hit single “All My Friends.”
