With six months left in his season and a staggering amount of ground left to mine, Parker Schnabel and his weary but determined crew move two wash plants side by side to speed up productivity in the new episode “Parker Doubles Down.” Rick is forced to stop operation and do some troubleshooting after he notices some strange noises coming out of Monster Red, his own wash plant. Faced with pay dirt that’s frozen solid and machine failures, Monica and Kevin Beets must shut down.

Danny (Scott Caan, pictured) meets a woman he is convinced is his dream girl, but almost immediately they get into a serious car accident that could be fatal for one of them, in an area far from any immediate help. Meanwhile, McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) recruits Quinn and Tani (Katrina Law, Meaghan Rath) to help when Eddie the dog begins to exhibit symptoms of PTSD. Kate Siegel guest stars in the new “I Ho’olulu, Ho’ohulei ’Ia E Ka Makani,” which is Hawaiian for “There Was a Lull, and Then the Wind Began to Blow About.”

The new episode “Smokin’ Hot BBQ” finds host Guy Fieri diving into all kinds of ’cue, including a Texas-style spot in Richmond, Va. He ventures far from the barbecue capitals of the American South. In Ottawa, Canada, for example, he visits a funky chicken joint cranking the rotisserie for its long line of happy customers, while in Burlington, Vt., a restaurant is noted for its smoked wings.

Witness to Murder: A Darrow Mystery
Claire and Joanna Darrow (Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Wendie Malick) accept the case of young attorney Cassidy Piper (guest star Elysia Rotaru), who faces felony charges and the possible loss of custody of her daughter. It’s a sensitive situation for the mother-daughter team, to put it mildly: Cassidy is the person who was tricked by her bosses into leveling an accusation against Joanna that ended the latter’s career in New York. Tom Cavanagh and Michelle Harrison also star in this 2019 mystery.
