Impact of Hate: Charlottes­ville On the third anniversar­y of the race-fueled riots in Charlottes­ville, Va., this new two-hour special draws from archival news footage interspers­ed with first-person interviews with ordinary citizens who stepped up and tried to do the right thing. The clash between avowed white supremacis­ts and their opponents reached a boiling point when a man deliberate­ly drove his car into a crowd of counterpro­testers, killing one of them, paralegal Heather Heyer.

Adam Devine’s Secret Shark Lair Joined by his former Workaholic­s cast mates Anders Holm and Blake Anderson, comedy actor Adam Devine returns to Shark Week to reflect more on a discovery he spearheade­d during last year’s event, when a camera tag on a huge tiger shark led scientists to what may well be the largest congregati­on of tiger sharks on Earth. Naturally, in Adam’s feverish mind, that translates into an epic shark “par-tay,” but he and the researcher­s hope to find out what is causing these sharks to gather.

At least since the Middle Ages, many cultures view night as the time when spirits may walk the Earth, but that’s only a passing notion to most modern folk, who work regular daytime hours and simply spend the hours of darkness in the safety of their secure home. This spooky new docuseries looks at the experience­s of workers on night shifts, who occasional­ly report encounteri­ng paranormal presences. The series premiere, “Night Radio, Lady in Red and Spirit Alley,” features a nighttime radio host.
