In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, this three-part docuseries examines some of the monumental changes in the contemporary workplace and their long-term impact on workers, employers, educators and communities. Tonight’s premiere, “The New Industrial Revolution,” looks at some of the continuing disrupting factors to the world of work, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, platform technology, globalization and labor practices. The hour also illustrates how the pandemic drove unemployment and caused those stats to flip from the lowest in 50 years to the highest in a century.
